Many people around the world suffer from hunger. They live in squatters area and the members of the family don’t have job. These cause a country to have unproductive market because most of the investors look for those countries who can handle their countrymen specially those less fortunate.
When I was walking aroud the road, there is this man went to my front and asking money from me. His clothes were full of dust and his skin were dark maybe because of dust also. He was not wearing slippers and telling me that he doesn’t yet eaten food that day. I get pity to the man and I treat him at the nearest canteen. I bought him food to satisfy his hunger and bought him also slippers which were bargained at a store. He then thanked me for the food and slippers I gave. I am so thankful that I live in a normal life and can eat food without asking it from anybody.
My mother left a note in my drawer which reads, “How you arrange your things determines your personality. If your things are in a chaotic arrangement, so you are.” I was startled for few seconds. That note is like a two-edged sword that cuts my heart into pieces. I was rebuked with love by my mother. Since that day, I realize that as a girl, I should arrange my things as much as possible, in apple pie order. I even included “being clean and orderly” in my New Year’s Resolution list. And to give you a glimpse of my little by little changes, I will take you to my room through a simple, yet detailed description.
But it is the place where my heart finds peace, a safe haven that gives me warmth when I am cold, and a shelter in the time of storm. Thank God for giving me a room with a family to call my own.
